My dad Jimmy Pearce has always had a nose for adventure,I think it started with his 6yr. stint in the U.S.Navy(1965-71).Dad ran a successful flooring business "Epoxitex Industrial services" for 30 yrs and has always been interested in gold mining. He eventually found his way into gold prospecting and found his 1st gold nugget in North Carolina our home state. In 2003 he met Mark Exeter while in Alaska prospecting and they became good friends so they teamed up and filed some gold mining claims northwest of Fairbanks Alaska. Gold mining can be dangerous and they had a few hair raising events while learning the land and co-existing with bears, wolves, moose & the voracious mosquitos. The adventure and thrill of finding beautiful gold, silver, and sometimes platinum nuggets is worth the risk they say! In 2007 dad decided to combine his love for jewelry with his passion for gold prospecting so we decided to attend a good jewelry school where we could learn to fashion the gold nuggets into unique jewelry items. We found a Great school, Mr.bill Churlik's "Earthspeak Arts" in Ashville N.C. and signed up for his silversmithing classes and the "the rest is history" as the saying goes. Please browse our store to see our current items for purchase. If you have any questions about our mining or jewelry please e-mail us. Thank you
